Year 10 German Exchange to Kaiserslautern

Wednesday, 02 December 2015

Last week we went on the German Exchange to Kaiserslautern. Whilst we were there we did a range of activities, including spending the day with our partners at school and day trips to Trier and Heidelberg. There were 8 of us on the trip and we all had an amazing time improving our German, experiencing a new culture and meeting lots of new people. Most days we were lucky enough to visit some beautiful Christmas markets and we also saw some historic castles. Whilst in Trier we visited some Roman Baths which were fascinating to see. We tasted some typical German food such as: Flammkuchen, Reibekuchen, Kinderpunch, Sauerkraut and Bratwurst. Much to our surprise we loved them all! We had a fantastic week and by the end we were desperate not to leave as this trip is an amazing experience! We thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone to wants the chance of a lifetime.
